Silverado Apocalypse Blaster

Surprise surprise! We’ve been (secretly) working with the folks from Intergi and GM (Chevy) to create a promotional game for the new Chevy Silverado 2012!

Silverado Apocalypse Blaster is a small and simple game where you have to blast through almost everything in order to reach the city of Huntsville. The apocalypse is coming down on you and you need to smash everything coming your way, from meteors to evil robots, passing by locust swarms and frog rains!

  1. Guys the screen goes black after I beat it.. The music fades out then starts playing again on loop. :(

The game though is incredibly impressive, you guys did an amazing job with the Chevy brand promoting it and not doing any damage to their brand throughout the game while keeping it really fun!

I honestly don’t know why people don’t find this game more fun, I had a really good time with it, but I was kinda pissed that the ending was just a black screen of death. :\ (Im on a mac (snow leopard) using firefox).

Anyway this is highly impressive work, good job guys :)

  2. Wow c’est un projet de malade ça les boys, bravo !!!

  3. awesome ! I can’t wait !

  4. When is Dale and Peakot 2 coming out?

  5. Is this selling out?

    • No, it’s doing what you love for a living.

      • no, I mean whats up with the silverado thing

        • Chevrolet wanted to promote their product using free online games, so they asked game developers like us if we could do that for them. We simply agreed! Nothing more, nothing less ;)

          • Yea, but I feel underlying question is why go with a corporate giant like Chevrolet when you can do your own thing? It’s no secret that the Flash game industry is a rather tough market to master but I’ve always seen Juicy Beast as one of the few studios who can make it on their own. I’ve been very impressed with the work Juicy Beast has put out but was admittedly a bit disappointed to see them jump at the opportunity to do a project such as this.

            • Well, I don’t know what would disappoint you more, that we make money so we don’t die, or we (the company) dies, thanks for your opinion on our games, this is really appreciated, but even if we are not on the brink of death, it is a way for us to insure we keep the company alive for more time if times become harder. Thus letting us continue to execute our art for more time.
